Major Awards!

It’s award season in the world of SF, so I thought you might be interested in a roundup of awards and nominations for 2016 (so far)…

The Nebula Awards were given last weekend at the annual convention of SFWA in Chicago.  Women swept the awards, including Naomi Novik for Uprooted!

The James Tiptree, Jr. Literary Award winners for 2015 have been announced, and the awards will be officially presented at WisCon the weekend of May 27.

Locus Magazine has announced its finalists for the 2016 Locus Awards, with the winners to be announced the weekend of June 24-26.

The shortlist for the 30th annual Arthur C. Clarke Award has been announced, and the final award will be made on August 24.

And, of course, the Hugo Award finalists (as well as the finalists for the 1941 Retro Hugos) have been nominated (with attendant controversy), and voting will be open through July 31.  The awards will be presented at MidAmeriCon II on August 20.
