Looking for us on Goodreads?

Did you know that we have an official group page on Goodreads?  Our group there is called, appropriately, the Evanston Public Library Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Discussion Group!

This is just another way for you to keep track of our reading and meeting schedule, as well as to learn more about the books we are reading, and even engage in some discussion of our books (or anything else you want!).

If you are not already familiar with Goodreads, it is a free website that helps you track the books you have read, are reading, and want to read.  You can maintain separate lists in all categories (and move books between the lists as needed).  You can also “tag” your books with descriptive terms that you devise (e.g., “sci fi,” “fantasy,” “dragons,” “history,” “did-not-finish,” etc.), as well as rate each book on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and write your own reviews, which you can either keep private for your own reference, or share with others.  There are also plenty of discussion groups to join for every conceivable bookish and genre interest, and you can compare books and ratings with other users if you choose, which is a great way to learn about new books to read from others who share your tastes.

Once you are a member, look up our group and join in!  That way, you’ll be able to see what our other group members are saying, and be able to start discussion topics of your own.  Hope to see you there!
