Here Be Dragons!

And also space ships, and impossible worlds of every description.  Join fellow sci-fi and fantasy fanatics as we tackle a new book every month (alternating between the genres) and then meet to discuss it and other genre-related issues and developments.  We will meet the first Wednesday of every month, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in the Seminar Room of the Evanston Public Library (3rd floor).  Our first meeting will be on April 1, 2015, and our first book will be Ancillary Justice, by Ann Leckie.  Ancillary Justice won the 2014 Hugo Award for Best Novel, and follows the story of a former soldier named Breq as she pursues a personal mission for justice.  Breq’s unique viewpoint (and her true identity) make this an outstanding and thought-provoking debut book.
